About 2-1-1
2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people to important community services and volunteer opportunities. Trained and certified information and referral specialists help callers clarify their needs and direct them to agencies providing appropriate services with a minimum of calls, saving time and money while reducing frustration and duplication of effort for callers and agencies.
CO211’s lead partner, The United Way of Deschutes County, is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The implementation of CO 211 is spearheaded in Central Oregon through a partnership between the United Way of Deschutes County, the Partnership to End Poverty, and the Family Resource Center.
To improve the quality of life for people in Central Oregon by providing easy access to community health and human services.

CO211’s comprehensive database of hundreds of human service agencies, programs and services is continually updated by a team of professional resource writers, using national standards for selection criteria, categorization, and key word assignment. Search our online database.
CO211 is funded from a variety of sources including the Partnership to End Poverty, United Way of Deschutes County, foundations, local businesses & individuals, and Central Oregon city and county governments. Efforts seeking state support are underway and the Calling for 2-1-1 Act seeks to authorize federal funding to develop and sustain 2-1-1 programs across the nation.
Individuals and families call for many different types of services. Information and referral specialists help callers connect to local services that will assist with critical issues like health care and substance abuse, domestic violence, shelter, food, legal and financial assistance, children and senior programs and mental health services.
We offer free literature describing how clients can access CO211. If your organization would like a presentation on how clients can access CO211 for health and human service providers in their communities, please call (541) 389-6507 or e-mail info@co211.info.
